Sure it is. Trust is a big deal, but you can like people and hang out with them without it.

I guess I mean that there are different degrees of trust. There's trust enough to spend time with someone without expecting them to knife you or something. Then there's trust enough to let someone watch your back in a fight. There's more than that, too, but is that enough to give you an idea?
