Raisins. [There's a short pause, and the Doctor disappears from view for a moment -- mostly. The top of his head can still be seen, and it's evident that he's been baking as, for some reason, he's managed to get flour in his hair. Neatness and the Doctor: do not go hand in hand. He soon reappears, however, and he's holding a small pot. He hadn't ( Read more... )

Getting to know each other sounds like a great idea.

I don't know about the widest reaches thing though. Alot of us are humans, and I know a few people from this "earth" place.

Humans are dotted around the universe. Where are you from, if not Earth?

Cocoon? Do you know where that is? What planets it's near, what star system it's in? I don't recognise the name [...].

No. No one from Cocoon's ever left, so I have no idea where it is. I've been trying to figure that out.

I do know that it's floating above another bigger planet called Gran Pulse.

Hmm, no, it does't ring any bells... Perhaps you call them different names. Maybe if the shi-- No! The TARDIS will, of course the TARDIS will, why didn't I think of her first? Star charts! Perhaps if I show you star charts, you can tell me if there are any constellations you recognise? Not paper star charts, of course; constellations always look so different, so devoid of life and dull on paper, don't you think? It's just notnthe same.

What's a TARDIS?

Well the thing is, Cocoon's surrounded by a metal shell. We had stars, but they weren't real. So I don't know if any of the constellations I know really exist. Pulse had a view of the real stars, but I was only down there for a few days so I didn't memorize any constellations.

You have a ship? [Maybe he and Fang don't have to steal one after all.]

Well, the people who run this place told me it was destroyed by something called the Spanish Inquisition, but I don't believe that.

[Have what is supposed to be a Very Serious look, although it kind of fails.] No, I wouldn't either, but I suppose no-one ever expects them. Although, I did mean 'what happened to it for it to be encased -- cocooned -- in metal?'

And yes, I have a ship, although she doesn't seem capable of going anywhere at present.
