[The feed turns on suddenly, welcoming the viewer to the sight of the registration area once more. The camera takes a moment to focus and when it does it shows a haggard young girl. Her wounds were bandaged before arriving on the ship, but it is still noticeable that she just came off the battlefield, especially as her fingers clenched the legs of her traditional Xingese clothing. Tears streaming steadily, although not heavily, down her cheeks and it becomes obvious she's having trouble standing as she wobbles to do so in the registration line.]
[It almost appears as if the feed cuts on accidentally, but that wouldn't be the case as a moment later a miniature panda appears on screen, waving its arms frantically. Obviously, it was the one that turned on the feed and appears to be trying to gain anyone's attention. However, between the lip wobbling, Mei catches sight of the panda and yanks her from her spot near the guide and pulls her close.]
Oh! Xiao-Mei!
[It's the depressed exclamation of the princess, but the viewer only hears that as the Guide clatters to the floor and the viewer is now only able to hear the voice because of the way the Guide landed. A breath, and Mei collapses on her knees to the floor with the silent tears.]
It was really over, Xiao-Mei! All of it... and Sir Alphonse! And now... It can't be true, I won't believe it.
[The voice is shaken beyond belief, Mei has been informed of the thing she'd least like to hear. The destruction of the world, and inevitably the entire clan.]
...The clan... Oh, Xiao-Mei! [The voice was wobbly and exhausted, trying to keep back the extreme amount of tears from pouring out of our eyes.]
...What will we do?
[There's a moment of silence beyond the silent weeping as Xiao-Mei bounded down from her place and used her might to flip over the Guide. The viewer can see again now! The small panda is pointing frantically at the Guide as if trying to say something, and a second later a look of recognition passes Mei's features.]
[With a determined nod, Mei wipes her tears and adjusted to sit more traditionally. Gathering herself, she finally speaks, keeping the wobble out of her voice.]
I am Mei Chang of the Chang clan in the land of Xing. If any of my countrymen or clansmen are aboard this ship, I'd be entirely grateful to hear from them!
