Well, well. It seems even here I can't get a vacation. Though, I suppose signing up for a job wasn't exactly the best thing to do when on it. Well, if anything, the money certainly doesn't hurt.  Nevertheless, if you haven't done so already, I suggest you try and make it down, especially if you've never seen a beach before.  If anything, I  ( Read more... )

Let me know what you find.

Of course. I'm feeling faint from that attack--I should go in for treatment. From there it will be easy to slip away. I don't think I will have any trouble being caught...the release forms were paper so there should be physical copies, but I may need Fuery if its digital data.

Do you have anything other information to share, sir?

Are you all right?

Not in terms of his appearance, no. I'm afraid that's all I know.

As far as the hospital will be concerned, not at all. [exasperated face.] I'm fine, Colonel, please worry about what's at hand.

I'll see what I can find. It's possible I can have someone look into the bombs that have been sent around as well, since they seem to be connected. Any other orders, sir?

You should have informed me earlier.

Very well. Look into the people who received them. See if there's any connection there.

It's only a little dizziness and makes for an excellent cover. How's the gaping hole in your stomach?

Understood. I'll gather a list quickly.

(Opens his mouth to speak, but...just closes it.)

....Just be sure to tell me if you actually start to feel faint.

[I love our little chats sir]

Do you honestly think I am the kind of person who feels faint, Colonel.

(They are pretty one sided)

Considering how you fainted once before, I had no choice but to assume.

[I think you just let me win.]

I apologize, my circulatory system was running a little low at the time. I'll be sure not to make such a mess again.

Sir, I've been wondering. Ran Fan and Mr. Yao...they would be able to tell if those insects had something like a Philospher's stone, right? Perhaps that is the difference between the homunculi as we know them and these creatures, and their eventual lack of regenerative ability.

...That may have something to do with it. They certainly don't have a Philosopher's stone. They're more like parasites. Their creator makes them from an already existing human. Once their host dies, so do they. Though, it seems only certain things are capable of killing them.

Certain things like alchemy. Only you and Edward have been able to fully take care of any of them so far with almost no trouble.

Honestly sir, you're developing a reputation as a homunculus killer.

A homunculus killer, huh? That's not a bad reputation to have. Perhaps it'll make things a little easier.

I was told the one you encountered was at 30% of its strength, and that was partly due to the fact that it hadn't eaten yet. They also said that any others we encountered would be significantly stronger. If that's the case, we'll just have to be careful. If alchemy is the only thing that is capable of killing them, then we'll just have to make sure others don't get too close.

Well that certainly explains why it was so easy for you. [you know what sucks? Being the weak one, that sucks so bad.] I'll contact you if I come across something too troublesome for only myself.
