[He still looks very pale, and just visible below the yukata at the edge of the screen you can still see the bandages currently bound around his torso...but the smile he gives the feed now is a cheerful one.]
Well, they're finally letting me use the Guide again now, so I thought some of you might be wanting a status report...
First and foremost, I'd like to thank Yoruichi-san, Tear-san, and Toushirou for all of your help. I imagine I'll be needing to repay you all at some point...ah, and I also thank those that stopped by for a visit, or have been standing guard. ...I do appreciate that very much.
[and, with that statement, his words are very sincere for a moment]

I suppose all that is beside the point, though. They're allowing me a good hour or so before they want me lying back down again, and I guess I ought to use that to its utmost...
Yoruichi-san, I'd like to have a word, if I could - although you probably know why already. And perhaps with Kisuke-san as well, if he is available. ...Ah, and Shinjiro-san? If you happen by this, there's...something I'd like to ask you, if you wouldn't mind. Although, it's really rather trivial...
[a pause for a small breath - the only sign of his still-slightly-fragile state for the entire video - and then he straightens again, smiling even more brightly than before]
