Fourth Brush Stroke [Video]

[The video's bouncing, showing the views of the ground. No vegetation around what so ever and wind is whipping around wildly. It seems cold, but there's the sound of panting and claws digging into the dirt. It stops after a minute and the camera swings around, finally lowered onto a patch of green quickly dying

[She hasn't taken notice as she sniffs the ground, checking its health. Not good... not good at all. She digs a bit, sniffing again. There use to be life at some point; it just wasn't taken care of properly. It's cold so heat was needed, but it was too windy. She sighs]

Only enough power for something small...

[She shakes her head and looks up at the sky. She turns and goes back to digging. This had to be done first.]

[She looks at her Guide and nods.]

... Fai, could you do something for me?

[The reflector on her back changes to a sparking sword as she stops digging]

I might not be able to make it to work tomorrow. If I don't arrive in the morning, could you inform them of my whereabouts?

[For a moment, she doesn't answer. She jumps, disappearing from the feed and there's a crash. The wind continues howling, but it's covered by an explosion in a second.]

[She walks back on screen, her fur slightly blackened by ash]

The soil is unhealthy on top, the wind continuously blows, and it's much too cold for proper life. I'll be drained very easily trying to fix it.

You can't take this on alone. It's an entire planet! Goddess or not, this is far too dangerous.

It will not be the entire planet. With a little life restored, hopefully someone or something will be able to spread it...

[She shakes the ash from her fur and raises her head to the sky]

I expect you to pace yourself, Amaterasu. I don't want to have to come down there and drag you back.

[His tone is a little serious sounding, but his expression completely says otherwise.]

[She laughs a bit]

[The wind is dying down a bit as she looks at him]

[She disappears for a bit again, breaking the ground with her glaive more. She's trying to make a place for water.]

[She comes back, smiling faintly]

Yes. Your cloak is very capable of keeping a person warm.

[Her tail wags a bit as she remembers sleeping under it, but then she looks up at the sky again. It starts snowing.]
