011 [Video/Action] Dealing with Dragons
[The feed clicks on with an explosion of candy hearts. We see Polly crouched in front of the screen, having dropped her Guide to throw her arms protectively over her head, a rather large dragon some distance away. It seems to have not taken kindly to her attempt to befriend it. She lowers her arms and scowls a bit.]
Well, you don't have to be like that...
[She holds out a hand, and, a moment later, the dragon finds itself buried under a deluge of candy hearts. The creature unearths itself, shaking the chalk-like sweets from under its scales and glares at her. It takes a deep breath, and the next thing it breathes is fire. With a cry of alarm, Polly dodge-rolls to the side, then holds out a hand. A moment later, the dragon is enveloped in flames. When the flames dissipate, the animal--apparently fireproof--shakes itself again. Now it's eying her with suspicion.]
[Grabbing up her Guide, Polly makes a run for it, but the big creature is on her in a couple of bounds, hooking a claw through the back of her shirt and hoisting her up off the ground. The girl twists, managing to land a textbook snap kick on the underside of the creature's chin. (Thank you, Ran Fan's self-defense class.)]
[Its jaws snap shut with a sharp click, but it looks... amused. Holding the girl out of the way until she quits wriggling, it leans in and appears to be sniffing at her hair--then pulls back when she tries for another kick. With a rumbling laugh, it drops the startled girl, who lands in an undignified heap, dropping her guide again. The dragon then leans foreward, using its teeth to delicately pick her up by the back of her shirt much the way a mother cat would lift a kitten by the scruff of its neck, and starts off down the hall.]
[The girl just barely manages to scoop up her Guide again as they pass...]
