Day 99 [Video]
[The video comes on with rather jerky movements, enough to make the hardiest stomach feel ill. The guide appears to be in a backpack but was turned on as the pack was flung and hit the ground. When the guide settles, the camera shows someone wrapped in several layers of winter gear jump out of the way just as a large and savage creature slashes at him. From the snowy weather and blistering winds, you can assume this is happening down on the planet.
There's no audio that can be heard over the howling noise of the blizzard, but if you watch you'll get a clear enough picture of just how the fight is going.
The one being attacked puts up a decent fight, dodging and slamming his fists into the thing's nose and head but to no avail. The creature is starved and will not be held back by these taps. Finally, the fighter seems to have no choice left. As snow piles up over the camera, almost obscuring it completely, the last scene is of the male yanking off his gloves and pulling something out.
And over the wind screaming into the mic, a single noise.
A gunshot.
