[ he beams and goes off to get her order, returning with a steaming cup of tea and a dainty treat on a china plate ]

It's Lapsang Souchong tea.

Huh, never heard of it.

[she tilts her head curiously at the tea before taking a sip.]

It's originally from the Wuyi region of China. I can't say for certain where these leaves actually came from, but that is how it's labeled in the back.

[ the aroma is strong, almost smoky... it's quite a heady blend, and should be a good counterpoint to the honeyed sweetness of the pastry. Kid seemed awfully proud of the choice. ]
