[KNOCK-KNOCK! Marisa Kirisame is on the other side of your door looking all business. Business with a grin!]

I need to search your residence. Step aside, ze. I'll be in and out in a jiff~

[Marisa is hunting for zombie stowaways as per her job this month. She may or may not steal stuff while searching...]

[...How rude. And no, he's not letting you in.]

State your reason.

I'm here on official business, ze. I have reason to believe there is an illegal stowaway in your room. So, let me do my job and I'll be out of your hair in no time.

I assure you, there is no such stowaway.

[He would have noticed, duh.]

And yet, evidence says otherwise. And I've got a job to do.

[She holds up her official paperwork from the Thor.

Read it if you must, but I like getting paid, so... Move.

[Going to take that paperwork, thank you very much.

And step aside so she can come in, but he keeps an eye on her, not trusting a stranger to go unsupervised.]

[Her paperwork is all in order and does list the stowaways as zombies. And with those eyes on her, Marisa's not going to steal anything. Not unless there's something REALLY cool in the room.

She'll do a cursory search and then stop in the middle of the room. She holds a hand out and mutters an incantation. A magic circle forms underneath her and she closes her eyes.]

[...Zombies.

Yes, yes, this is a ship filled with various lifeforms from other worlds Byakuya never imagined could exist. But the fact that someone is actively looking for zombies is just preposterous.]

Anyone harboring these creatures would be foolish. Or dead. Surely it is obvious that there are none here.

[She doesn't open her eyes.]

You'd be surprised at how well some of these zombies can hide. They're smarter than they look...

So they are not what one generally thinks of when they hear the word.

[That's pleasant. :| ]

There's a couple different types of zombies. And Konami VI had all of 'em. Some are the general shambling horde type that only crave brains. Some are a lot faster and more cunning. And some...

[Her eyes open and focus on a corner of the room.]

Some can't be killed when you chop 'em up. They're severed limbs are just as deadly as the whole.

[He sees her gaze and follows her eyeline to the corner, as well.]

And how would one go about killing that last type?

Usually? Fire. But then you gotta be careful how the ashes are disposed of.

[She heads over toward the corner and magic concentrates in her right hand, crackling a lot like contained lightning.]

How so?

[And what are you doing? This is disconcerting.]

The ashes will contain the virus, ze. So if the ashes get into the atmosphere and then it rains, the virus ends up in the water, which will contaminate the ground water and basically it'll end up infecting every living thing on the planet.

[Marisa suddenly lunges out at the corner with her charged hand and grabs something about a foot long that's squirming and flailing, gnashing its teeth together despite the lightning zorting it. Marisa has caught a leech.]

That is problematic.

[But! The conversation is abruptly cut short when she grabs the creature. Byakuya, however, is tense and ready to fight should he have to, his hand already on the hilt of his zanpakutou. Even so...

That. Creature. Is. Disgusting.

Byakuya can only stare wide-eyed at it, unsure of where it even came from and how it went unnoticed by him.]

[Despite it trying to bit her gloves hand - which shimmers like its covered in scales - Marisa just seems irritated.]

Damn leeches. These are the things I really need to find. They have this, like, collective hive-mind and a bunch of them together can mimic a living person. I don't think it was here long, ze.

[Eventually the lightning gets to it and it falls limp.]
