Some wires here, some metal there. Looked it up in a book and now it's all memorized.

Which book? Was it any of the ones in the library? [Not that he's thinking of trying to do stuff like that himself...]

A couple of advanced textbooks have this stuff, and some stuff online too. It's not so hard, once you know what goes where.

It's a Tesla coil. A scientist named Nikola Tesla made these.

Huh...and they're used to make sound like what you did?

Well, not at first. They were used in radios for a while until a newer, better electric source was made. A lot of experiments involve these, and shows too.

Is there other sounds you can make, or was that music you just did all there is to it?

No, that's really the only sound it can make, as far as I know. Higher pitches, lower pitches, sure, but this is about it for sound.

That sounds like it would get boring after a while of listening to the same sound instead of other ones. [Suddenly losing some interest oops]

Maybe, but it's not easy getting all the pitches right to make it actually sound like a song.
