The guides can generally be persuaded to serve a variety of functions so long as you're willing to deal with the oddities.

As for the state of your planet it is likely true, unfortunately.

I'm already figuring the whole thing out. I can probably get talk-to-text functionality installed with a couple of hours of work. Do these things have apps, or do they come loaded? I'm sure I can crack it, but still, might be fun. What kind of bugs are we talking about?

...Yeah, I figured. I'm not that surprised, considering all the stuff that was going on. Somebody was going to do it sooner or later.

They have an unfortunate tendency to record video or voice at the slightest provocation. There is also the problem of signing you up for the wrong job.

Your world was suffering some turmoil, then?

Really? Dropping it, maybe. They're loaded with some basic AI. It started yelling at me a minute ago. I'll mess with it and see what I can do.

I don't know how much you know about Earth, but humans are always trying to blow each other up for some reason or another, at least on paper.

Well, it's nice to know who I won't be seeing. I don't really mind if people aren't around; I might not be there much, either.

I think I have the info thing down, though. These Guides are something else.
