[ The Guide flickers on to show a heavily armored man who is fumbling around with the camera a little. Big hands and all that. As it centers around the armor's head, the red plate slides away, showing a human's face that looks quite weary. ]

So... everything is over? The world is gone, but there's still this. It... I think I've seen some humans ( Read more... )

That's a strange first question.

What's strange about it?

Of all the things you could be interested in, you're most concerned about crime?

Yeah. I might be able to manage if I can make my life here like it was before.

Antonio.

[The face on the screen is oh-so-skeptical. Come on. All that cool armor, and then... Antonio?]

[ Oh look, a kid! Kids always liked heroes! But this kid, he had a bit of a sour look on his face. If he hadn't just learned that his world and likely everyone he ever cared for was dead, he might be more inclined to be cheery, but... ]

Would you prefer "Rock Bison, the Bull Tank of the West Coast"?

... [He considers this addendum very seriously.] Definitely getting there.

What do you mean, getting there? A Hero has to have an alias. Do you have any better ideas?

[ There was totally nothing wrong with his hero alias! It was better than anything Kotetsu would ever come up with, that's for sure. At least Antonio could take solace in that... ]

I don't stay in the room.

[ She looks so young, and she doesn't stay in the room? He can't help but feel kind of bad for her! ]

Why not? A growing kid like you needs her sleep. You're not scared of the dark, are you?

Scarier things than being in the dark. It's small and not home. Home is in the hangar.

Does that mean that there's something bad in the room? Because I can protect you, it's what I do.

[ He can't help but feel bad for her now. Poor girl. ]

What do you mean, you slept in a hangar? That seems unsafe.

Now, do you mean crime which can be committed, or crime which could be fought?

It's an important distinction to make, dear.

Re: [Video] barbequed_bull October 4 2011, 04:22:09 UTC
Either one. If people can't commit crimes, then they can't be fought. Otherwise, any crime can be fought.

[ Antonio chuckles, his mind whipping up an image of some of his fellow heroes chasing around jaywalkers and similar impossibly petty criminals. ]

Not all of them are worth fighting, though.

I had meant to find our intentions through the question, but you still managed to make them clear nonetheless.

I would imagine there is crime. One such thing I hear of often is the "Purists" aboard this ship will sometimes become violent toward us Refugees.

For anything else, I suggest you might want to go looking...probably without the armor.

Is there anything in place to stop anti-Refugee crimes? And since there's probably other crimes happening, how would you say I should go looking? Should I just keep an eye out, or are there places where things happen more often?

[His interest was piqued by the strange armor. By now, he's well versed in the whole 'world exploding' thing, and different hume of different worlds arriving. However...

This was the first time he's seen armor almost as clunky as Archadian armor. Though... for a new arrival, he accepted his so called 'fate' pretty quickly. His eyes narrowed slightly with distrust, before flicking on the device.]

'Tis a interesting armor you wear, and an uncommon question to ask. Why the interest?

[ Antonio couldn't help but smile at the armor being called "interesting", but it wasn't like the man could see his face. As far as he was concerned, Rock Bison's armor was more for show than for practical use. The drills were cool and all, but it worked against him most of the time. The very thought of his armor led to a slight chuckle from the inside of the suit. ]

People always need protecting, and it seems like this situation would be great for the more "opportunistic" people in the world. Is my interest a problem?

[Had Antonio replied as such a few months prior, Vossler would most likely have given a different response. As it were, however, he'd mellowed out. ish. somewhat.

Have a raised eyebrow. An almost textbook answer--abit worded slightly differently-- for a green recruit. This one'll most likely get along with Basch.]

I see.

[Mellowed out or no--Words were cheap. He'd keep an eye out for this one, anyway. Long as his interest in fighting crime does not interfere with Lady Ashe's safety, he can honestly care less.

... though it was nice to be among (honorable? perhaps. that still remains to be seen) men. As Much as he'd like to believe in what the guy says, paranoia was a lesson he'd rather keep close then loose. Have a shrug.]

No.'Tis simple curiosity.

[ Antonio was pretty curious. This man questions his motives and just dismisses the chance for an explanation. Have a slight scoff in response. ]

...right.
