[ Wasn't this a nice change of pace? Shiro woke up this morning without experiencing a litany of joint aches which typically accompanied the simple act of rolling out of bed at the golden age of fifty-one. Oddly enough, though... he had a strange craving for a morning cigarette. He hadn't experienced that in over ten years! Now, he sworn that he didn't go clean shaven the night before--and the wrinkles in his face we gone, his typical outfit fit loosely. Just exactly what was going on?! He'd inquire with the other refugees, but not before picking up a pack of cigarettes! ]

[ Here's Shiro, now in his early 30's. He leans toward the camera lens, holding a cigarette between his lips by the filter. ]
This is the best that's happened, by far! [ He cackles, ] I better live it up while I can, don'tcha think?! Drinks are on me, tonight! Aa, but not until after my shift at the clinic, that's right...
[ Many of the refugees are now well below the drinking age, especially if he's in his prime now. This fact doesn't seem to sink in with Shiro... ]
