Page 25: What is a year?

[It's Patchy on the feed again, walking about 'outside' in New Gensokyo.]

[Nothing interesting going on other than her talking, but there does appear to be a large red dragon strolling along behind her. He seems to be trying to get attention from the camera as she speaks.]

A trend, I have noticed, among refugees is to publicly announce in some fashion that they have been aboard this vessel for a year. Three hundred sixty-five and a quarter days, if one wishes to be exact. Today would be that day for me, so I may as well observe the tradition, so to speak. In all honesty, it does not feel that much different than a normal day, perhaps due to the fact that a year has lost its meaning as a planet's single orbit around its star. Given that we are on a ship, such measurements are meaningless.

I digress, though. Time is time, measurements are arbitrary, and it does not appear that I will be escaping this vessel anytime soon.

Oh, and Twilight, I am finished with your book, should you want it returned.

[She is about to turn off the feed, but said dragon interferes, placing his head on top of hers and looking at the camera.]

...Renald, what are you doing?

[Feed ends.]
