I'll just go straight to the point: I'm leaving Thor. I have some business to take care of elsewhere and I'm not sure when I'll be coming back. To all of my friends, please take care of yourselves and be safe. And I will do the same.

And you just decided this arbitrarily? Where do you intend to go?

I'm gong to Sif to find Crona.

[grimreaping]

[ Kid looks floored; she says it so casually. This is somehow an option?? ]

I paid a driver that will take me the same direction that Sif is going. It'll be a long trip, I'm sure. Who knows how long ahead the ship is from ours.

[grimreaping]

And it never occurred to you to mention this??

[ he takes a breath ]

If I mentioned this sooner, there would be people trying to stop me.

I don't know if you can, Kid. The trip isn't cheap and I'm not even sure if the driver will even let me bring Soul along, Weapon form or not.

I asked if there was any way to get in touch with the other ships, and was told there was not. That their trajectories were completely at random. Now you want me to believe that you have paid someone -- a random stranger -- and are trusting them to take you along a path that might catch you up with a ship that they might know the location of?

Then what am I supposed to do? Just sit here and do nothing while Crona is on Sif with that damn Witch and let her erase everything about you, me, and the Academy?

I'm not going to let that happen. I refuse to have Crona go back to how we first met. I've talked to the shuttle operator and I found a little lead to get to Crona. It might be sketchy because Vorgons look down on us, but if it's giving me a chance to get closer to Crona, I'm taking it.

You are supposed to recognize that, while you care about Crona, there are also people who care about you!

I know that, too! That's why I'm telling about my leaving now.

[unlike ed who did the same thing and DIDN'T tell anyone right away.]

So if you find the Sif, then what? You'll smuggle Crona away from there and come back to the Thor? And if there are other friends of our on the Sif? You'll leave them; they're not as important as Crona?

[And just then, she slams her suitcase shut and approaches Kid. Glaring at him face to face.]

How dare you even say that. Of course they're important to me. Beat means the world to me just like everyone else. I don't know what I'm going to do once I get there. But right now, I'm more focusing on reaching that point.

[ Kid matches her glare without backing down. ]

I am saying what you are ignoring: that you have no plan with no reasonable expectation for success.

You're telling me that Soul has agreed to this? Or have you withheld the information from him as well?

[she breaks the glare with an eyeroll and walks off to her dresser.]

I can figure out a way when I get there. It's not like I'm the only one that wants to go back to Thor. We can brainstorm and think of something.

And Soul knows about it, so don't pull that with me.
