010 [VIDEO] | Day 64 | They're not all bad, really...

Jun 06, 2011 02:51

[Why yes! Hello again, Thor, Noin here again - but this time, the average woman appears to be rather directly looking into the camera, situated on what appears to be a large metal cage, a bit of odd gear sitting in a pile next to her - looks rather like protective wear, honestly, a bit scuffed and torn up.

One could say it looked rather like thick ( Read more... )

[video] - HI NICE MOMMY! theforgottenune June 6 2011, 12:10:54 UTC
[Have a wide-eyed, curious blonde staring at the dogs.]

...they can talk?

[A chuckle.]
Some of them, it seems. I have a feeling with the Babelfish, basically everything can talk if given the chance.

[Slight tilt of the head in confusion; nobody had explained what the squirmy thing they put in her ear was for yet.]

What's a Babelfish?

[Ooh? A blink, but Noin nods and taps the side of her head, gesturing to her ear.]
The babelfish is what they put in your ear when you were first brought on board. It translates for you what you otherwise would not be able to understand. If you're careful not to lose it, you could try taking it out for a moment in an area and listen to what you're missing.

[Brittany's more of a cat person.]

[But she can always appreciate a cute dog.]

[Ignoring the chatterboxes--because, at this point, talking dogs are like w/e--she focuses on the creamy sable]

How sweet! Does he have a name?

[So true. Noin found it insanely bizarre to hear some of the variants of dogs start talking - then there's this one that thinks it's hilarious to shove most of its skin over its head whenever someone new comes by...

She pets the animal affectionately, but carefully. It seems to be a little shy.]
I don't know - it's a stray like all the others in this room.

[It seems to be fitting, in that sense, for Noin to find strays - those that have lost their homes. It just...feels natural.]

Did you find them all?

[A shake of her head, the dog nosing its way towards the voice before drawing back and absently wagging its tail. Not sure what to make of the noise, really.]
Not all of them. Just a couple so far - seems some of the residents on Thor have a taste for dog meat so I haven't gotten many calls out to go collect any.
[It's not really bad - Noin's heard of it before but...she's not one for it. At all.

The dog's ears flatten against its head and it makes a low whining sound.]

So you're a dogcatcher? Wanna catch my boss? He doesn't have a collar.

[A smirk.]
Can't handle him on your own?

urnotafraid June 7 2011, 06:28:54 UTC
I can handle him just fine. I just want him to disappear for a couple hours so the real filming can begin.

[She hums a little in her amusement.]
But I heard you had a special scene coming up? Or has that already passed?

They seem to like you.

[A humming nod.]
Surprisingly, yes, despite all of my inexperience with handling such animals - though there are plenty that don't. I've been told that due to my "all-human status", there is no reason for me to interact with them.
[She's not bothered by this - she's seen a couple of them and oh god. She wouldn't wish them on anyone.]

... "All human status", huh?

See, this is why I prefer lizards.

[Yeah, all-human status. It was an..apt descriptor but - A blink and she looks curious.]
Lizards?

[A hum.]
Seems only natural - there are more things to give credence to now.

[She chuckles as there's a inhuman sound - a dog whining, wondering who she's paying attention to over it! How could she?]

Are you eying the cream colored one in your broadcast? [It's a new experience to be hearing the thoughts of a canine in this matter. The Babelfish is working beyond reason.]

You would pick up on that, wouldn't you...
[She chuckles and goes to pet the animal who is attempting to smell her Guide.]
He's a bit shy - I found him nearly dumped into someone's meal. My guess is he came in with one of...earth related refugees.
