[hey guys, did you know? The SS Thor has an auditorium! If you didn't know, you're probably confused at the feed right now, which is somehow filming the entire stage of it.
Shut up, the guide can totally be told to zoom out.
Anyway, up on the stage is one Kurt Hummel, dressed in an appropriate outfit of your choosing because my choice was so horrible it made babies cry, a lone figure in the dark auditorium ... until, that is, the music starts and a single beam opens on Kurt.
Some of you may recognize Madonna's version of
Buenos Aires from Evita. While Kurt is going a bit deeper than Madonna, matching more her recent style, he's still knocking those high notes out of the park. Also there is choreography there, but you will have to imagine it because on top of being unable to dress myself I also can't dance. Yep. But there is a lot of shoulder movements and grand hand motions as he moves all over the stage. Or something. And a lot of come hither motions.
BASICALLY IT IS ALL VERY IMPRESSIVE, AND YOU WILL TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, ASSHOLES.
He ends the song with a flourish, the entire place going dark for a few seconds... then all the lights turn on and he stands up, breathing hard but going :D :D :D and seriously guys this visual is incredible you just have to imagine it because I can't. Uh, I mean. Basically Kurt bows a little before finally speaking up so I can stop bracketing.]
Hello, SS Thor residents. Or refugees, whatever you wish to call yourselves. [flicks his bangs off his forehead with ~~practiced fingers~~] I'm Kurt Hummel, as some of you are already aware, and I'm here to talk to you about Glee club. First, I'd like to say that I've once again decided to run it, and while this will be my first intergalactic glee club, I'm certain I'll be just as good as my predecessor. Who was, after all, myself.
[THE MOST AWKWARD LAUGH]
For those of you who don't know, a glee club is a club for show choir, which basically means singing and dancing, as I've helpfully demonstrated for you. Though it's usually done with a bigger number of people. Hence, my announcement.
For those of you who wish to join-- or, as it may be in some cases, rejoin-- auditions will be held this time next week at this auditorium. Everyone who wants to join will get in, but you still need to audition so I can get an idea of your voice and capacity. If you can play an instrument and wouldn't mind playing for the club, your help would also be appreciated, though no auditions are necessary for the band.
If you have any questions, please direct them to either myself or Rachel Berry, who will be co-running the club with me. We are residing in room 3-37 and 3-10, respectively.
Thank you for your time.
