[Chen has encountered three (3) Goombas in one of the fields in Newsokyo--which is what the Guide's camera is currently recording. They're just trundling inoffensively about, being mushroomy and grumpy, but they weren't there yesterday!

They're not mushrooms, are they?
[Experimentally, Chen lobs a bit of danmaku at one of them; one of those reddish, softly glowing arrowhead-shaped bullets, about the size of a baseball. It wasn't a very strong one, either--but you wouldn't be able to tell from the way the Goomba kind of...crumples and tumbles away into the grass and then dissolves into nothing immediately after.
Chen just trills, albeit curiously.]
