Now, before the period ends, I would like to let you all know further details on the project that I mentioned earlier in the month. You are to use what you have learned so far and create and cast a spell card.
[She holds up a card to demonstrate.]
Those of you who were around for the unit on scroll writing shall have an easier time with this, as essentially this is a modified version of the same. Those of you who have not can still do this assignment, however. Your textbook has all the information you need, and your notes, if you have been taking them this month, have further details.
Your card does not need to be too complicated, but it does need to have at least a hundred-bullet count and last for at least ten seconds. Obviously, going beyond this will get you a higher grade. Now, I understand that not everyone in this room can inherently use magic, so I will provide you a mana gem with which to cast with. However, it does not take any magical prowess to write it if you know how.
Furthermore, to help demonstrate spell cards in action, I have arranged for a field trip of sorts into New Gensokyo to get a firsthand look at arcane energies in action via a demonstration of a danmaku duel. The trip is optional, but highly recommended, and I suppose if we have time, we may visit the onsen that has been built there.
If you have any questions on either the trip or the project, I will remain here after class to take them. Other than that, you are free to go.
