I don't know about the begining. Mother was the one that raised me, and she did lock us both away in a tower. But she did it to keep me safe from the outside world. And I've never met a prince before.

Most fairy tales are weird like that. There are a lot of different versions of each one, and all of them are... I guess a bit separated from the truth.
