Unfortunately, discretion is a difficult matter when the bar's proprietors seem to believe that the only good alcohol is dangerously strong alcohol. I cannot say that I approve either, as it negatively impacts the crime rate; one is easily victimized when drunk.

You would be mistaken, at least with regard to the presence or absence of court. I was fortunate enough to participate in a case a few months ago when a temporary position was made available. However, I must admit that with regard to the punishments employed, "lax" is an apt description.

What kind of case was it? Just out of curiosity.

A massive jewelry heist which, as it turned out, was committed under the duress of a death threat -- which, in turn, was delivered by someone being mind-controlled by the true mastermind in an attempt to throw off suspicion. If the primary criminal had but chosen someone with a more credible motive for pressuring another into larceny, they might well have succeeded in avoiding indictment.
