Twenty-Seventh Hope Accidental [Video]
[The feed comes on to give you motion sickness. Apparantly the darn thing came on as it was sliding down a heap of garbage, as you see the feed tumbling down a great big hill of the stuff down on the planet. As luck would have it however, it stops with it's camera facing back up the hill it just came from to show what just knocked it off.
On top of that hill, you see a giant mechanical bipedal weapons platform sans weapons. The only armaments that haven't been obviously sawed or ripped off are rusted to the point of obsolesence. The thing is attempting to walk but from the sputtering and jarring motions it's making, 'attempting to walk' is probably the best anything can hope for. Seriously, the thing looks about a hundred years old. Only an idiot would try to pilot it.]
Hey! Come on, I hit the reverse lever! Why are you going forward?
[Oh look everyone! That's Hope trying to pilot it! And it looks like he's getting dangerously close to the edge of his hill. Hope realizes this and tries in vain to stop his piece of junk mech.]
Woooooah, hey! Stop!
[Unfortunately, the thing doesn't answer to voice commands so it teeters over the ledge for a few heart stopping seconds before plummeting over the ledge. Hope manages to dive clear and roll down the hill, grunting as he does and lands next to his guide. He's a bit scraped up but nothing a few cure spells won't fix.
The robot on the other hand, isn't so lucky. The horrible sound of screeching metal is heard as it tumbles down the hill. One of it's legs actually snaps off during the fall, something that causes Hope to wince in sympathy. The poor thing finally tumbles right into a wall of solid trash, which promptly collapses and buries the monstrosity. Hope watches for a few moments before heaving a sigh of relief.]
Guess someone threw that thing out for a reason. Good thing no one saw that.
[And it's immediately after he says those words that he turns and looks directly at the guide and notices the all too familiar blinking red light. He groans in frustration and shuts the feed off, bracing himself for the onslaught of concern/insults]
(OOC: Bit of a running joke I decided to bring with me into MH. In FFXIII there are two seperate occasions on which Hope attempts to pilot a discarded giant robot. Both occasions end with Hope landing on his ass, not unlike what you folks just saw. Open to anyone on the planet for action.)
