017 || THE SEQUEL: PROLOGUE || VIDEO
[Click. On comes the video, activated by a stray hand as the Guide is placed on the ground nearby. There is a large toad (the orange one Naruto is standing on) fast asleep near the dolphin pool. Leaning against his back is Naruto. He seems completely relaxed, the look of someone whose mind has recently been put at ease. There's a grin on his face as he looks up towards the artificial sky, legs outstretched and jacket unzipped to show one of those goofy mesh undershirts that shinobi wear. He's just chilling, yo.]
[In the grass nearby is a book, the cover obscured by the angle of the camera. After a few moments of peace and quiet, Naruto speaks:]
Bein' in space is waaaaaay different from bein' back home, but there's a few things that're the same. Heh, like nappin' in the afternoon, y'know?
[He looks over towards the Guide, stretching his arms above his head and letting out a small yawn before continuing;]
Meetin' people and makin' friends is pretty much the same too even if there's a lotta differences from where everybody is from. Even if everybody is different and our worlds are different, there's still somethin' that's the same everywhere. [The smile fades somewhat, Naruto's face taking a more serious expression.] Peace is hard to come by, y'know? There's usually always wars and fighting and pain and hatred. Stuff like that.
[And the smile returns!]
But we're all in this together, heh! Someone once told me that one day everybody will understand each other, and then there'll be peace. I dunno how to get there but... maybe that's the answer? Maybe just by everyone believin' in that and workin' together for that, then everybody will understand one another.
And then there'll be peace, y'know...? Whaddaya think?
