[Ukitake can be seen, perched on the edge of a bed, at an angle that suggests he's currently holding the guide in his lap. He looks very different without the voluminous white haori that's usually hanging in a shroud over his shoulders - simply reduced to being clad in his black hakama for the moment, he looks a good deal more pale and thin, almost ( Read more... )

You are in an empty room in condo 5-2. It is Master and Arakagi Shinjiro's home.

You slept through the end of another Armageddon.

You look like crap, are you sick?

...Another Armageddon?

Ah, do I? ...I suppose I shouldn't have strained myself quite so much that time... But hopefully this will pass over soon. It usually does.

You know, end of the world. Those doomsdays that religious zealots keep blathering about.

So it's recurring.

Oh, that sort of thing, you mean. Hm. To be honest I never really gave that too much thought...

You could say that, yes.

The usual, I suppose. Things with the monsters built up into a big boss battle, we beat him using the power of cooperation or some such junk, and everything went back to normal.

...Did you make it out of everything okay?

A 'big boss battle'...?

For the most part I think so. I'm not dead, at least...always a bonus, that.

What about you, though?

Yeah, you know, the usual way these things go. Every time you start out by fighting the weak cannon fodder type of monster there's always some kin of big bad behind it. Beat him, and everything goes back to normal.

[Danny grins wryly at that comment.] Metaphorically speaking, I totally agree with that.

Oh, I'm fine. A bit exhausted, but nothing ever got close enough to any real damage. Intangibility is useful like that.

Really? What a stange system...but I guess as long as you all won it doesn't really matter. So then...that thing was the one behind all of those zombies, you think?

I suppose that would be, yes. [small smile] I admit, before now I'd never seen anything pass through walls quite like that. Can you...er, go through anything? Or is there some sort of limit?

I'm not sure where you are... But all the zombies and monsters went away. There was a big fight!

Ah, so they're...gone, now? That's a relief...

A big fight?

Must get better about labeling these things...[video] curious_copycat November 4 2009, 00:58:27 UTC
Yeah, there was a zombie in a big robot thing, and he threw ice and fire and made monsters attack us. But then, we all ganged up and made him go away.

It was really fun! Only Mr. Rorschach got hurt, and that made me mad, but he's okay now because there were heal-y people with us.

[She leans close to the screen.]

You know, you cough a lot. Do you need a heal-y person?

[video] naw, it's fine! ^^' ocean_lightning November 4 2009, 09:02:33 UTC
Ah, that's very good to hear. That must have been a very large fight indeed...

[Blinks and leans back a little himself - the sudden proximity is just a tad alarming.]

A heal-y person...? [looks confused for a bit, and then a flash of understanding passes over his features] ...Ah. Well. I don't think that will really be necessary, at this point. Many...heal-y people have tried to fix this already, but it seems for the meantime I'm just stuck with it. Thank you for the concern, all the same...
