That’s right, that’s right! Today we’ve got a crowd favorite returning to the field. She's worked up through the ranks easily in a beautiful and frightening display of magic and blood! What did I say, Bob? It’s always the quiet ones! From Gensokyo, the librarian of Viole and magician of the Scarlet Devil Mansion... Patchouli... Knowledge!
[The camera focuses itself on Patchouli as the crowd gives a cheer. She looks as she usually does, betraying little emotion, merely standing there, her spellbook in one hand and a Holosseum-issued wood staff in the other. She's leaning on the staff a bit, though. All these fights have not been kind to her already-fragile health.]
And her opponent for today is just as ruthless. He may look tiny, but don’t let that fool you-this guy is a mean, green fighting machine. They say he took out one of his monster match-ups in three seconds flat! No one knows the name of this boy in black, but it looks like he’s gained quite a few fans among the young ladies in our audience.
[there’s a sudden cut to a shot of a horde of screaming adolescent females of various shapes and colors. The words “marry me” can be barely deciphered through the noise.]
That’s right, he’s fast, and he’s deadly. That’s why they call him…theeeee Dark Tempest!
[Sync stands just inside the arena with arms folded, dressed in plain black clothing. A casual observer might think he looks bored, but he’s taking in everything around himself deliberately and carefully, without moving his head a fraction.]
