A sight that might make more tech-savvy sentients wonder if the Guide filter has kicked in and is shielding something inappropriate from impressionable children's eyes.]

[from that angle the sleeping form of a boy can be seen, sprawled on his side on the floor, shoulders rising and falling regularly with his breathing. His face is smooth, not contorted in anger or distress or any other myriad of emotions that those who know him are used to seeing. He's got a couch pillow tucked under himself, and all around him are five furry lumps of various sizes, recognizable as the puppies Amaterasu has been taking care of. Snuggled up against his back, draped over his legs...and Hayabusa has crawled under his arm and is now happily licking the boy's chin.]
[this earns him an irritated grunt and a halfhearted swat on the nose, which doesn't seem to deter him in the least. With a small yip the puppy finally settles down, pawing at Sync's chest as he tries to get comfortable. After a few more moments, peace reigns over the scene again.]
