[Lalala, hanging out in her room.

Oh? Someone is at the door?

She answers it and blinks at Holmes.]

Oh, hello. May I help you?

[He glances at her, and then starts to rummage in his sack for the gift in question.]

Good evening, miss. Here I have a gift, from...

[He reads the tag, and then makes a soft sound of amusement.]

A secret admirer.

Indeed, miss. That would be my occupation for this month.

[He still has his pipe in his mouth, as he hands the package to her.]

[RECOGNIZE THIS DOOR, HOLMES? oh wait maybe not because the only time you've been there is in the dead of night]

[In any case, behind the next door is SPIRIT!]

Shuuichi opens the door and stares.

And stares.

And then snickers.

"Looking good, Holmes-san."

Needless to say, Holmes is so not impressed. Red isn't his color, after all.

"I lost the count on how many people I've told this, but..." He bites his lip to stop another giggle fit. "You won't get the job done right if you don't have the right attitude." It wasn't really the hat that was funny, but Holmes' face of suffer.

Holmes raises a brow, taking a long intake of breath from his pipe. It relaxes him.

"I'm inclined to disagree. One may not get the job done correctly, but in most cases, the task will be fulfilled regardless."

[You're getting a very rare smile from this consulting detective.

Because he's very amused. Very.]

Santa's a bit early.

[He takes a intake of smoke from his pipe, and then deposits the ashes onto the ground, grinding it with his heel. The subject Lien brought up makes him look slightly sheepish, but he tries to hide it...]

Ah.

So, I take it you were one of the ones astute enough to see behind the barrier of anonymity?
