The video shows her standing almost waist-deep in the water, apparently not concerned about getting her dress wet. A few dolphin fins and noses poke out of the ripples around her periodically, nudging her hands as she pets them.

They're called dolphins. We had them back home, too, but they were never this friendly.

Yeah, they like playing, but they're pretty smart, too. They follow boats all the time and swim in the wake, but they always manage not to get hurt.

Why do they follow boats? Do they like people that much?

I think they're curious. And also, the currents the boats create must make swimming interesting. I have a feeling it's like a game to them.
