[Patchy's got her guide set up on her desk. There's an open book in front of her with a pen resting in it, suggesting she had been writing something. Scattered elsewhere across the desk were a pile of books, a small container of other writing utensils, a soccer ball, a stray spell card, some loose paper... one of these things does not belong here ( Read more... )

No, it's more like a reflection, or warding. There's no diminishing of any spell that hits it; it just doesn't get hurt.

Perhaps it would, but it would be impossible to make, even if you had the raw materials. There would be no way you could work with it.

Not necessarily. What I would do, is, if you got in shapes or something, I'd make a cloak that wrapped around edges of the parts, and have all the parts overlap too, so that attacks wouldn't get to the actual cloak.
