At the library..

So, I guess I really don't have internet at home. It was working... great in fact.. for about 2 days then decided to die. There was a really bad wind storm on Sunday night(a week ago Sunday), which didn't knock anything out, but apparently there was some kind of storm on Monday that did. I had internet for the weekend and then it died. They're supposed to send some guy out on Friday to fix whatever the problem is, since the lines aren't down anymore. If it still sucks after that, I guess we have to pay out the wazoo in order to get DSL instead of cable, which I hear is more reliable around here. I must live in some variety of internet dead-zone. St. Louis and Kansas City are both 2 hours away, so apparently, this college town, rather... just regular town, can't get the internet. Fuck beans.

The library it is then.

School is school. I've only had one class so far and I'm not even enrolled in it yet. I don't think I'm going to be able to be enrolled in it either. There are only 12 spots, most of which are grad students, and I highly doubt anyone is going to drop it. So plan B then. I might take an American architecture class in stead, which sounds interesting, but it's really not what I wanted. It'll take care of one of my requirements though. And honestly, I'm not sure that I want to focus on Roman art anymore. I've met the professor who is the Romanist and she seems like a real ball buster. Very old school. And the people I've talked to who have done a thesis with her said that she basically picks your topic for you. I don't like that. I want to pick my own topic so that I won't want to shoot myself by the time it's over.

Maybe I'll do early Renaissance or late Medieval. Or Medieval Brittain, before the christians and stuff. We'll see. I suppose I'll have to talk to some people in the department, do some research, and get my head on straight before I actually make a decision. Ugh

Two more hours until I have to be anywhere. I suppose I'll go sit outside and enjoy the sunshine for a while and probably do some reading for that class I'm not in. Poop sticks.
