IT IS PAST TIME I MADE AN UPDATE OF THIS TYPE, given my unholy influence has already pierced the defenses of others. So! Beneath this cut, you will find the Pokémon teams of some characters I write/RP. WE ARE GOING DEEP INTO THE REALM OF AU'S AND NONSENSE HERE GUYS.
AERRICKO CLEMENT;

→ They are all normal types, don't read anything into that okay~
This is an OC who has never been played outside of. well, my head, really. Aerrick's... I was about to call him extroverted, but he's social and private all at once. He's very friendly, and not unkind, but rest assured - he definitely thinks he's better than you. He has a good relationship with his Pokémon, but there's a sort of tangible divide as well. They're... not just things he owns, but they're not quite friends either. Aerrick distances himself from everyone, because he's... got a superiority complex, I suppose is the only way to put it. (So how does he have a Togetic, I hear you cry. I have reasons. :|)
As you can see, he has some terrible taste. XD; Aerrick loves being the center of focus, and I was going to give him a Furret anyway and just look at that thing. It really suits his personality, okay. But yeah, he would be the kind of person who'd relish ~*~unique~*~ Pokémon.
NINA EINSTEIN;

→ It's Nina! I already made a Pokémon AU version of Nina even before considering this meme. The reason is simple. I love this character, but I can not stand her canon. If I'm ever going to RP her, it's going to be about as far away from her original context as physically possible. Pokémon is my happy place, and so here we are!
Anyway! Nina currently lives in Sunyshore, where she is more or less a technician. YES, REALLY. She quietly yearns to do something else with her intelligence, but her general lack of courage and self-esteem leaves her settling for practical work at which she excels. With her tiny Pokémon team, you can undoubtedly count on Nina to fix whatever wayward appliance is getting you down.
Nina generally doesn't battle, and she really loves her Pokémon for the good work they do. She trusts them pretty completely, which is handy since she's so incredibly nervous of just about all human company. Especially strangers, and especially especially strangers from far away...
KURTIS BERTRAND;

→ HAHAHA, speaking of superiority complexes, hjsdkd. Kurtis was originally why my VDex trainer was named Kurt, although that situation has somewhat spiralled out of control at this point. Kurtina and Kurtis are not affiliated :|b
To be honest, though, in a strange sort of way, Kurtis is nicer than Aerrick. Kurt is visibly impatient, very private, much prefers his own company, and although he does try to get along well with people? He's more or less socially awkward. He's generally honest, though, and he doesn't hold himself apart from the rest of the world the way Aerrick does.
Kurtis isn't really a competitive Pokémon trainer. He was my back-up normal-type trainer, originally, because I knew from the outset that he'd have a Porygon2 and that said Porygon2 would probably more or less be his link to the rest of the world. But that says it all, really - what the, uh, normal-type role entailed (why am I being so secretive about this?) just didn't suit him at all. Kurtis is interested in Pokémon, but not from any battle perspective. He will probably be pretty stumped as to how he should handle a Flygon, hahahah.
THILAN RUMSEY;

→ As usual, Miguel here is substituting for actual!Thilan. The day I find a character who has Miguel's expressions and body language, but dark hair instead of blond? Will be the day I can die happy. Anyway.
THILAN RUMSEY IS A POKéMON RANGER. This was decided back when I was leveling him in Nagrand, so. This is another AU that has actually existed for a while now. Thilan spends his days watching over his herd of ridiculous angry stampy Pokémon, and he earnestly couldn't be happier with his lot in life. HE WOULD BE THE HAPPIEST MOST ENTHUSIASTIC RANGER EVER. Poachers, however, would make him cry.
So would certain spider-y Pokémon who shall not be named. :|b
RUTEE KATREA;

No, really. But don't underestimate them! It's a harsh world, finder's keepers, don't think they won't fight you for it! Besides, if her little treasure seekers aren't enough, Weavile is the spirit of Rutee Katrea. Or at least it's got slicing and icing, which is good enough.

Rutee and her Pokémon are fiercely loyal... to each other. >:D (But we all know she isn't so bad, right~?)
AND MAN, I'VE BEEN AT THIS SINCE FOREVER. It is really late, so I will do the rest tomorrow. If nothing else, you can at least expect another OC in the form of Leelia, and a certain redhead I know happens to have two teams. THANKS, ZELOS. (spoilers: One is his 'pull some chicks' team, the other is... more serious.)
