All this interneting is good.
I love to research things...fish, fishkeeping, wiring schematics, demons, music, checking up with friends(facebook), how uninterrupted power supplies work, green energy, global events, Tom T. Hall's mailing address, video games, ways to improve vehicular fuel economy, things about newborns, dead sea texts, artist interviews, plumbing compounds, plastic welding devices, and up-to-date beer advocate rankings.
But you know...none of that stuff gets me anywhere. Nowhere at all. I just spend hours on the computer on my comfy office chair. It's relaxing from a likely hard and long day at work. It's time I somehow feel I deserve. And it's every day. Sure, I do other things as well, but as soon as I come home from my friends house or get done with whatever project I'm doing, I'm right up here: Losing sleep on account of learning the mating habits of pajama cardinal fish.
This has got to stop. I need to spend more time learning something constructive, or hanging out with my wife, or working on my house, or hanging out with my friends, or improving myself in some real way. Heck, even going to bed earlier would be an improvement. This path is comfortable, but it's a circle, always leading back to itself. It's time for change.
