i agree- really the biggest hindering force for me is my massive debt. i'm by no means drowning and poor, but as long as i am paying off these stupid loans (just 5 more years ack), i cannot save any money, and can therefore not even begin to think about things like home-owning, family, retirement... unless of course i married someone well off and established, but even that does not yet interest me

Well said. I agree 100%. I'm not going to say much on this subject because the comments are too many in my head. All I will say is that I've noticed many people my own age or several years older who are neglecting responsibility mainly because they just don't want to deal with real life. Real life is there whether you grow up or not, best to get used to it. I can't stand immature, irresponsible twentysomethings. Move out, get your own place, pay your own rent, get a job and start contributing to our economy and society. Afterall, when you finally get over yourselves, your future children will need those contributions.
