ROOM REDO UPDATE:

Thursday afternoon: While waiting at Coffeeberry for Jonathan to pick me up for the concert, with the help of coffee-guy Matt, I decided on my decor paint colors: 2 shades of teal for the walls, lavendar for the floors, and white furniture and trim.

Thursday night (after seeing my good friend Pat B.): bought two candle holders and an incense burner that would match my design scheme.

Friday afternoon: bought paint - didn't realize 'til I got home that the I got the darker shade of teal darker than I had originally wanted - but I love it even more; washed the smoke grime from my grandfather smoking in here when this was his study (he died a year and a half ago) from the walls; did some more spackling - there were some holes I missed; sanded the spackling; painted primer on the walls.

Friday evening: painted one coat of the darker teal on two walls. LOVED IT!!! Went to bed happy and excited.

Saturday morning: painted second coat of darker teal (beautiful!); used paint remover to remove paint from window trim so that new paint job wouldn't just peel off; keep on burning self with the paint remover chemical - got frustrated, watched HGTV, TLC, and the Style Network until evening (came up with more design ideas).

Saturday evening: after watching La Cage Aux Folles II, decided to take up the wood tiling (it was rotten and dry); got 3/4's done and decided to call it a night; C.L. called me a midnight - she HAD to talk, took me to Denny's and fed me.

Sunday morning: finished removing the wood tile. Grandma offered to finish removing the paint from the window - she has more patience than I do. I set up the computer (took it out of my room because didn't want it in the way for painting and the like) so I could go online to find adhesive removal stuff because the wood tile left behind a bunch of black glue. Thankfully, there's concrete under this cool. I just may end up with a concrete floor in my room. Cool! Having difficulties pricing adhesive remover online - will most likely have to go to Home Depot (or Lowe's) and ask for help.

This afternoon/evening I'm going to my brother's friend's wedding, my brother is the best man.

The concert was AWESOME! The Motels, Berlin, and Pat Benatar - what a night! Pictures will be posted as soon as I get Tanya to email them to me.
