I love the kid's book "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day," and all I did was mimic the style.

I don't know the original book unfortunately (is the part with Watson writing on the chalkboard a tribute to a scene in it?) but I like the way you wrote this!

The original book is "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" by Judith Viorst. It's a grumpy 10-year-old boy talking about his awful day in precisely that run-on way of talking. At one point the boy does have to write something on the chalkboard at school for talking.
