good times at......"THE HOUSE OF PAAAAAAAAIN!!!"
Fun times were had at the Atebara house aka "The House of Pain" (because kristen [in the inner tube with me...senior cut day] just got her wisdoms out and kevin [see "we cool" picture] has a stye eye) for the Manoa guy's (Travis and Boomer) last night in Hilo before school starts. Picked up some taco bell for kristen and then we played rummy (kevin, kristen benk and i). Kevin was quite salty because kristen caused my two wins and then she won two times and kevin does not like to lose, especially to kristen.
Then we played naruto on gamecube, the only reason he bought the gamecube. They all love this show and i don't have the patience to catch up with all the 144? (maybe more) episodes they've watched so i lose. Kevin is the naruto game MASTER, we all get a kick out of when he chooses the crappiest character and beats everyone using some hilarious move, aka when the fat boy turns into a giant ball and rolls over everyone. GOOD TIMES
Then we played some drug dealer variation of pimps and hoes/cops and robbers. AND I LOSS. and we were playing the OKOLE MACHINE version. so i had to go through it and it hurt on my behind a lot. For those who have not heard of this horrid torture device, everyone stands in a line with their legs open. You must crawl while everyone has their way with your bottom. YEAH...ouch.
Then the guys played poker but travis, the cool cat he is teaches me how to do the rubiks cube, and even though he was drinking, he was an excellent teacher. I think i remember the first two layers, but kevin will have to teach me the rest. Too many opposite, twist in, down, in, counter clockwise, out, down, up, in, 180 (and that's like one move).
Travis randomly notifies us that his girlfriend Holly has these weird predictions and then end up coming true and I guess she foresaw travis' plane crashing or something. And travis is serious because he let's us know how we've been awesome etc... and says that he believes this enough to take this opportunity to let us know, just in case. Meanwhile, Boomer is not a happy camper because he is on the same plane. I'm sure all will be fine even though travis thinks that if it doesn't happen tomorrow, it doesn't mean it won't happen on some future plane ride, so just in case, I wished them a safe flight and gave them a firm, eye-contacted, handshake....which in hindsight was not enough. But they better be fine, else i'm going to be one messed up child.
But, all in all, good times, and looking forward to winter break and all breaks to come.
