Name: Zeroro, now renamed as Dororo
Color: Light blue
Race: Keronian
Position in the Keroro Platoon: Lance Corporal
Weapon/Skills: A master of ninjutsu and energy-manipulation. Weakness is his uncontrollable trauma switch, that turns on once a situation seems familiar to a situation he'd underwent in the past.

Taken From: Episode 125 from the animation.
Bio: An alien from the planet Keron, Zeroro is one of Sergeant Keroro's childhood friends (together with Corporal Giroro and Pururu, Keroro's love interest), though he is also the most abused and left-out of the group. His novels were always written on, his lunches stolen, his music box was broken and his favorite toys were broken by his 'best friend' Keroro, and his somewhat traumatic childhood has carried inside him until his adulthood, where a trauma switch often switches on in times of great distress. Dororo then succumbs to his negative emotions and sits on a corner, crying and muttering to himself. It usually switches off after a while, but in one episode, the constant trauma built up inside him forced the Platoon to enter his memories to cleanse his bad memories, as it rendered him unable to do absolutely anything.

Dororo is a much simpler Keron as compared to the wicked Kururu, action-packed Giroro, split-personality Tamama and lazy yet determined leader Keroro. All he would rather do is tend to his garden (which he does every so often, when he has free time), meditate to hone his skills, or watch over the town peacefully. However, when forced to do combat, the light blue alien has more than enough power in his arsenal to defend himself and those around him. Using his ninja skills (which were taught to him by Koyuki Azumaya, the human ninja girl who found, saved and befriended him when he got trapped during his mission on Earth), Dororo fights using energy manipulating techniques and his trusty dagger that he keeps behind him at all times. On more than one occasion, Dororo has been a driving force for the Platoon. However powerful he is, Dororo refuses to use his skills for the destruction of the beautiful landscapes of Earth, or if Keroro's plans contain too much malice and evil for other people. Under the guise of helping, he is easily convinced, though.

As a child, Dororo would always wear a medical mask around his mouth. Before meeting Koyuki and Zeroyasha (in the anime only), Dororo would wear a gas mask instead. After befriending them and being convinced that the Earth should be protected rather than exploited, Dororo's mask changes to a simple cloth around his mouth, similar to many ninjas in the past eras of Japan.

Another interesting fact about Dororo is he ends all his sentences in 'de gozaru' and refers to himself as 'sessha' instead of 'boku'. Both suffixes are the archaic forms of 'desu
and 'boku', with the latter being used famously by samurai.

His best friends include the Platoon and Koyuki Azumaya, the girl who found her when he was stuck in a bear trap, waiting for his inevitable death. Her friendship and kindness converted the assassin to a more peaceful and detached lifestyle, and he refers to her as 'Koyuki-dono'. They live together in a small hut in the outskirts of town.

Keroro Gunso, or more commonly referred to as Sergeant Keroro in English translations, is an animanga series created by Mine Yoshizaki. It tells the story of the Hinata family's discovery of an alien race called Keronians, and a certain platoon's quest to conquer 'Pekopon', or as we call it, Earth.

Natsumi Hinata, the strong and athletic older sister of occult-fanatic Fuyuki, accidentally finds the titular character Sergeant Keroro, the leader of the platoon sent to conquer Earth, hiding in her brother's room. After a few strange events, Fuyuki acquires the Kero Ball, the device needed for the complete domination of Earth, as well as new friend in the green skinned alien invader, despite Keroro's plan of total world domination! Standing in his way of course, is Natsumi, considered by the platoon as Earth's last line of defense.

The five-man platoon consists of Sergeant Keroro, a supposedly fearsome warrior back on his home turf, (now reduced to a lazy, domesticated and Gunpla loving leader who would rather build models than make plans to conquer Earth) Corporal Giroro, a war-bred, action-loving Keron who falls in love with Natsumi, Second Class Private Tamama, a Keron with a tadpole's tail that has a split personality and is in love with Keroro, Sergeant Major Kururu, the diabolical, jerk-ass and unpopular genius who is responsible for their inventions and plan execution, and Lance Corporal Dororo, an assassin turned ninja who harbors a trauma switch.

Together, these five Keronians plot to take over Pekopon! Or at least, try to, as their Earth lifestyles, companions and personal quests and issues hinder any real, significant progress.

The manga is serialzed by Kadokawa Shoten, and is published in english by Tokyopop. It also appears in Shonen Ace magazine.

The anime spans more than 200+ episodes, but currently, only 127 episodes have been translated and subbed for the public. The series was made by Sunrise and is serialized by FUNimation. Currently, Keroro Gunso has three movies with the fourth movie upcoming this 2009.
