12 days ago I sowed seeds of pumpkin (aka winter squash)
'Crown Prince' and
'Buttercup' in the only greenhouse my disability still lets me use.
Now 18 seedlings are up :-) These are the two best varieties for my climate and one of the few crops I still grow. In due course, I'll set out half of these babies on Lottie (my allotment) and donate the others to the Lottie site shop. I'll set them out under a temporary polytunnel as in previous years (see userpic) where they'll be protected from our changeable Northern English weather until they're so big that the plastic has to come off.
How my gardening has changed, unthanks to unlovely disability. But we still have the perennial crops I put in a few years ago and I'm not done gardening yet.
