Looking for a plant

A friend of mine is looking for Suriname cherry. She has tried calling local nurseries and has had no luck. We are in Florida and she is looking to buy a small flowering plant.

It is a pretty common hedge plant in Florida but some reason she cannot find it. She is specifically looking for it for her diabetic father. Ideas?
