Speaking of squashes . . .

Has anyone ever had a green striped spaghetti squash develop along with normal yellow ones?  My plant took off over the fence when I was out of town for a few days and this morning, when I was on that side to sling the fruit I noticed one for the first time that was green.  Looked like a gigantic zucchini but I have no zucchini growing there.  I do have some watermelon next to it but I checked and it's not growing on that vine.  Is this just some kind of mutation or throwback?  Part of the plant not growing true to the hybrid?  I googled and saw a few people with the same thing and from what I could tell, they taste just like regular spaghetti squash.

In other news, with all the rain we've been getting my watermelon appears to be doubling in size daily.  I pruned a bunch of leaves from assorted, as well as my zucchini, as it isn't producing all that well.  My cucumbers, on the other hand, are going NUTS.  I've been making cucumber and onion salad (YUM!), slicing and eating them with soft cheese, will probably make some tzatziki soon and perhaps some gazpacho if I find a good recipe.  Tomatoes seem to be doing well but taking their time to color up.  I gave the neighbors some green (as well as cucumbers) as they we *hinting* that if I had any they'd happily take them off my hands.
