Safers?

Can I use the Safers soap on a sunflower?

I came home from an 11 day vacation and found this on the ground under my birdfeeder, I thought it was just a weed when I left because it was half the size and no buds/flowers. There are a lot of ants on him and something has been chewing the leaves, I want to make sure he is ok!

A little leaf damage is common, but the ants may be helping to pollinate the flower, so you may want to avoid using insecticide soap.

My sunflowers have a little leaf damage here and there but for the most part they are really hardy and seem to be one of the less molested plants in my yard. Leave him be. :)

Volunteer sunflowers are the greatest! They are also pretty hardy overall, so I would let it be and hope. Good luck!

In my garden, leaf damage is always by the little birdies. They love them.
