Grocery store potatoes?
Has anyone tried growing grocery store potatoes? I'm going to try growing them for the first time this year but I don't need a lot of potatoes (I'm thinking maybe five red potatoes and two or three sweet potatoes, some in ground and some in self-watering containers) so I'm hesitant to buy five pounds of potatoes from an online catelog.
In other news I just started my corn seeds, I have yellow squash waiting to go in the ground once I make up my mind where, and I have two tomato plants and a handful of bell peppers in the ground. I expect to get one more spell of cold weather so I'll do my best to protect them, but in the meantime they can get started while the warm weather visits (todays high is almost 80). I harvested the last of my broccoli yesterday because it was starting to bolt and the cauliflower will go into dinner sometime this week once I pick a recipe. The flower bulbs are starting to show greenery, I look forward to when they'll bloom. I'll be sure to share pictures when they do!
