Bed transformation

In my yard there was a bed that made part of the yard feel cut off. Since the yard isn't huge to begin with, it needs all the visual space it can get so I've been making some modifications.

Before: Badly overgrown. You almost can't see the brick patio for the grass.

During: Oh the mess! But you can see the liriope being moved to the sides of the brick patio where there was once only grass.

Almost-after: The bed has been replanted with strawberries, tulips, and day lilies. I think it's the day lilies that are poking up here - they didn't get the memo that it's still winter, not spring. (Please ignore the yard debries, those are my frost cover and frost cover holder-down things.) You can also see a tiny bit of the liriope peeking into the picture on the right. Those need to be adjusted a bit, and I interplanted some paper whites for interest. I think I'm far enough south that the paper whites can survive outdoors.

I'll try to remember to come back and post when the flowers start blooming.
