Is there anyone who's into alpine plants or rock gardens?
There's a nursery called Rocky Mountain Rare Plants (
http://www.rmrp.com) which sells the seeds of alpine/rock garden plants from the western US and around the world. (Starting plants from seeds is a good way of avoiding plant viruses and it's a lot cheaper.)
The seeds they offer include an American species iris and a rhododendron species that grows in the presence of limestone.
Their website also includes a lot of information on how to germinate these seeds and how to care for the seedlings.
Rocky Mountain Rare Plants will be going out of business in late December of this year. They have reduced their already reasonable prices a good bit and they are willing to ship their seeds anywhere in the world.
Hope this will be of interest to someone.
