Stray Plant

Hey folks,

I have another plant in the Shelter for Stray Plants that I need your help IDing:

Here's a wide shot:


First I got these little white flowers, usually one of them in the center of a spray of five or six leaves:


Then once pollenated, I noticed these little reddish berries which have now turned dark purple:


They look awfully edible to me, but my first rule is to never eat anything I don't recognize. I'm hoping they're currants or something like that. Does anyone know what this plant is? And should I be making a big batch of jam or will I kill myself?
