That flower will not bloom again. ONLY prune off dead leaves this plant stays compact.

They just do that! It's totally fine. That flower's done, but more will bloom. I'm not sure how long their season is in Canada, but in Texas they'll go for months on end almost continuously. Really great flowers, I love sweet Williams.

It's generally best to pluck flowers when planting. This allows energy to be directed into root growth, establishing a healthy plant and promising more blooms in no times.
