Unwanted Bamboo
Hello there!
This is my first time posting; I've been at school all year and now that I'm home, I'm hoping to plant a vegetable garden. We just moved into this house last summer, and I didn't have much time to explore the yard. Now that I've looked more closely, it seems that the bamboo grove towards the back is starting to produce shoots in the clearing closer towards the house-- the area I was planning on using for my garden.
I know there's no way to permanently remove these new shoots, since it is running bamboo, but I was wondering how we can get rid of them for a little while. Also, will the bamboo root system that's running through our yard mess up the plants I put in my garden?
