It's beginning to be caterpillar season again in my area. I had forgotten about them until I saw the first one this year and suddenly I remembered trying to sit out on my porch and read quietly but being interrupted by caterpillars raining down on my head. One of the downsides of having a nicely tree shaded porch.
This guy is known as the
Eastern Tent Caterpillar and according to the internet they are very fond of trees. For the sake of my tomato, pepper, and strawberry plants I hope this is true. Does anyone know if my plants are safe? If they're not, I have plastic containers I had cut to cover the tomato and pepper plants but they're already getting a bit small. Should I still cover them somehow? Thanks.
