I swore to myself that I was done collecting leaves until I spied a pile of leaves that were emiting some steam after the rain we had yesterday. I took 6 96 gallon barrels of leaves from the side of a nearby cul-de-sac. They must be high in nitrogen, since they were heating up on their own, and in a pile less than three feet high. The were relatively heavy. Can anyone tell me what tree they came from. They were raked into the street from a public park, where none of the trees had any remaining leaves, so I can;t be more useful, and take a photo of the tree.
These leaves were about three inches long.
